Amid controversy surrounding the forgery of the ballot papers in the Bar Council of Delhi elections, some candidates staged protest against the Election Committee outside Gate No. 5 of the Delhi High Court.

The protesting lawyers have demanded action be taken against the Election Committee for being involved in the manipulation of the election. They have also raised the demand of re-election and raised the issues of freebies, liquor distribution and cash distribution during the election campaigning by other candidates.

Election Committee has already previously rejected demands of re-elections which was made by the 118 candidates. The Election Committee is headed by Justice (Retd.) Talwant Singh, Former Judge, High Court of Delhi and comprises of Senior Advocates of Delhi High Court amongst other members.
